Offers For Impact, Part 2: Low-Cost Entry Points

In the last post, I talked about totally free offers as a way to both help people and create a risk-free way to engage with my work.

Each of these free options introduce people to my ideas and positioning, with paths to find my paid offers.

Today, I’m going to share with you what comes next: The Superhero Institute and Starting Points. Within these two categories, I offer four low-cost, low-commitment paths. These are offers designed for those who want more than what I give away for free but either aren’t ready or a good fit for my higher ticket offers.

I’ll tell you what each of these is, why they are important as a part of my ecosystem of offers, and how I ensure each align with my brand and values. Again, this post is partly to share and promote what I offer, but equally important to show the thinking behind why I offer what I do.

The four paths are:

  1. Courses, Resources, and Products
  2. Membership
  3. Membership + Coaching
  4. Starting Point Consulting

Everything that follows ranges in price from around $20 to $6,000 for the year.

Courses, Resources, and Products

Everything in this category is offered for $300 or less. Find all courses and resources in the Superhero Institute, here.

The first group of my low-cost offers are tools that people can buy off the shelf and implement immediately. I have courses I’ve built, or am currently building, on Brand Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Productivity, and more. I also have guides, templates, and other resources that are designed to help people solve a specific problem, quickly.

It’s important to me that I make information and resources like this available and affordable because otherwise, my own availability becomes the bottleneck for impact. Since I believe that it is my responsibility to use the skills I have to help people make an impact, these courses, resources, and products each help me do that in a way that protects my own value without excluding people.

By offering valuable tools at this level, I am hopefully giving people a preview of the sort of value I’d be able to provide at higher tiers of service.

Membership (Premium)

The “Premium” tier of paid membership at The Superhero Institute is $75/mo ($900/yr). Join for free and then go here to upgrade.

Membership to The Superhero Institute includes full access to all courses, resources, and events inside the community. Rather than paying for everything individually, a member gets access to everything for a fraction of the cost. The events also give members access to the coaching experience featuring the same material and value as in my private coaching, but at a lower cost and in a group setting.

I’m generally against subscriptions, but I’m comfortable offering my membership as a monthly subscription because it’s easy to cancel, I offer flat pricing for courses as an alternative, and I put a lot of ongoing work into the community and its resources, rather than charging rent for something static.

Membership (VIP) + Coaching

The “VIP” tier of paid membership at The Superhero Institute is $500/mo ($6,000/yr). Join for free and then go here to upgrade.

VIP Membership to the Superhero Institute includes everything that Premium members get but with the added bonus of monthly 1:1 coaching.

My lowest hourly rate for 1:1 consulting is $500, and that is generally reserved for my monthly coaching clients as part of a package. This means that my VIP members get an hour of coaching every month at my lowest rate, and the community, events, and courses all come at no additional cost.

That makes this my most affordable coaching offer.

Starting Points Consulting

All Starting Point Consulting Packages are $2,000 for a 3-hour session. Book an exploratory call to learn more.

The final entry level offer I have is built around solutions and deliverables. In my world, what distinguishes consulting from coaching, is the flow of accountability.

  • As a coach, my clients are accountable to me. That is what they pay me for. I ask them questions and guide them, and then they have to go off and do the work.
  • But as a consultant, I’m being hired to deliver a solution. I am accountable to the client.

So, these Starting Points, are designed around solving a single problem within three hours. This can take a lot of forms, including:

  1. Solving a Leadership Challenge
  2. Creating a Plan to Go Up-Market and Raise Prices
  3. Designing Offers and a Sales Strategy
  4. Building a Content and Marketing Plan
  5. Creating a Brand Strategy Brief to Guide Messaging
  6. Developing a Winning Sales or Investor Pitch
  7. Reviewing, Analyzing and Advising on a Tech Stack
  8. Setting Up the SuperBrain OS
  9. Building Custom AI Assistants

The point is to deliver something insanely valuable in three short hours, at an affordable price.

Think of Pricing as a Ladder

You can think of each offer as representing another step on your pricing ladder.

You get to decide how many steps and how low or high it goes.

I’ve learned that I need to think about time more than anything else. I’m very comfortable with how much I’m willing to value my time in terms of money. But due to my struggles with time, I have to be very careful not to underestimate the amount of time that goes into it.

When you put together your own ladder, start small and don’t have too many steps. The reason why I have so many different offers at so many different price points, is that I have learned over the last decade how to structure and price offers so that I can meet the maximum number of people where they are while preserving my own value.

These entry-level offers create bridges from free content to deeper work. In the next post, I’ll walk through my coaching packages and show you how I structure personalized support for people ready for that level of investment and commitment.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about anything I’ve shared so far, reach out and say hello. The easiest way is to join the Superhero Institute and shoot me a DM.
